We went back in time and reminisced about our favourite memories from 2012 in the lead up to Christmas. Many of our loving fans won awesome DVD's, stubby holders, t-shirts and other wicked prizes along the way, but the winner of our major prize of a FREE 14,000ft tandem skydive was Michelle, with this perfect little memory of her Mum’s birthday jump:
My favourite skydiving moment of 2012 was… when my Mum landed on the ground after her first ever jump on her 50th birthday this year, her instructor Brad asked ‘So what was your favourite part?’
Her response?
‘Sitting on your lap!’ (I think it made him blush!)

You guys gave us bucketloads of awesome reasons why you would rather be here skydiving with us than wherever you are in the world. We wish you could all be here, however we could only give away the prize to one lucky 'liker' this time around.

Aw shucks, we just love hearing all the reasons why you guys love Skydive the Beach, especially when it’s about how good looking the staff are!
But there can only be one winner of our ‘celebrating 20,000 likes’ competition, and after receiving hundreds of awesome entries we have finally decided. One stood out as the most creative and we just couldn’t look past it, sooo drum roll please… for the winner is BEN BOWEN!! He wowed us with this little thought bubble…
‘Why did Evil Knievil jump filthy big gorges? Why did Jesus like to walk on water? Why did Charlie Sheen like to pound seven gram rocks?
Because they all gained a heightened sense of LIFE from their pursuits! I’m not saying I liked your facebook page because you provided me with crazy canyon jumps, sandal donning deities or Columbian candy. I liked your page because you put me in a plane and (willingly) pushed me out! You provided me with one hell of a high that I will remember for a lifetime (not just because of my video), and I want it AGAIN, this time with my whole group screaming their guts out alongside me!!!’
Ben will now be taking 7 of his mates for the experience of a lifetime and jumping out of a plane at 14,000ft above the world! We hope you enjoy sharing the skydive-high again with all of your friends in tow, Ben!
